In accordance with the provisions of the Tunney Act, the United States Justice Department accepted feedback on the settlement of nine states with Microsoft in the continuing anti-trust proceedings. As a trained information technology professional with extensive experience in the use and administration of their products, I submitted a statement reflecting my own findings against Microsoft. Letter to Department of JusticeIn light of my experiences, I find Microsoft's advertising campaigns to be particularly misleading and offensive. They are filled with unsubstantiated statements and cite meaningless results to persuade the public that everything is under control. Bill Gates memo on "Trustworthy Computing" was just another move in the circumlocution, but it ignores the fundamental problem that is inherent in Microsoft's strategy and all its products.
